Roles may include, security operatives, close protection officers, event medical operatives, cabin crew and community first responders, among others.&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<p>It is ideal for those learners that need a wider level of knowledge than standard first aid at work qualifications.&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<p>In line with industry guidance, the qualification supports responders for a period of 3 years, at which point learners will need to requalify.&nbsp;\n<p><strong>How long will it take?\n<p>To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake 40&nbsp;hours of learning, typically over four days, with a minimum contact time of 30 hours.&nbsp;\n<p><strong>Topics covered\n<p>Topics covered include assessing and responding to incidents, CPR for adults, children and infants, therapeutic oxygen therapy and catastrophic bleeding. The qualification also covers assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury or illness such as chest injuries, spinal injuries, heart attack and anaphylaxis.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<p><strong>Assessment method\n<p>This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and a multiple-choice theory test.<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div aider, being able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally, being able to manage a casualty with external bleeding, being able to manage a casualty with a minor injury, understand how the environment can impact on the provision of first aid, how to support a variety of casualties and the safe use of an automated external defibrillator.<p><strong>Assessment
